Tyrannosaurus rex tooth

T. rex tooth. Late Cretaceous. Hell Creek Formation, Montana.  This tooth was collected by the famous fossil hunter Barnum Brown, the discoverer of Tyrannosaurus rex in 1902. It was probably a shed tooth -- the root (which would have been equally long) is missing. The edges of the tooth are serrated.
